A relaxed four-day loop down the south coast, built around two very different highlights: the 17th-century Dutch ramparts of Galle Fort, and a morning on the water off Mirissa in search of blue whales — the largest animals on the planet, seasonally resident in the deep-water trench just offshore between November and April. In between, there’s nothing on the itinerary but beach time.
Whale watching runs seasonally (November–April) when the seas are calmest; outside that window we swap the boat trip for extra time in Galle Fort and along the coast.

Transfer down the coast to Galle. Afternoon walking tour of the 17th-century Dutch fort — its ramparts, lighthouse and boutique streets — finishing with sunset on the ramparts.
Early-morning boat trip off Mirissa in search of blue whales and spinner dolphins, one of the best whale-watching grounds in the world (best Nov–Apr). Afternoon free on Mirissa beach.
A full day at leisure — relax, swim, or try optional surfing and snorkelling along the south coast.
Free morning before transfer back to Colombo for your departure flight.
