Blue Magpie Tours started with a simple idea: the best way to experience Sri Lanka is through the eyes of the people who call it home. What began as a small team of local guides has grown into a full-service travel specialist, but the idea hasn't changed — every itinerary is still built by hand, around the traveller, not a template.
We're named after the Sri Lanka Blue Magpie — a rare, endemic bird found nowhere else on Earth. Just like our namesake, we believe the island's real treasures are found off the well-trodden path, in the rainforest canopy, the misty hill country and the quiet corners tourists usually miss.
